Steven Schechterman, MD, is from Rochester, New York. He received a Master's in Public Affairs from Princeton University and a Master's in Sociology from the University of Michigan before completing medical school at the University of Virginia in 1995. He completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at the Medical College of Virginia in 2002, and then a fellowship in Hematology/Oncology at Georgetown University's Lombardi Cancer Center in 2005. He worked as an oncologist for Kaiser Permanente in Washington, D.C. and Portland, Oregon from 2005-2010. He joined Hematology-Oncology Associates, P.C. in July, 2011.
