James T. Lin,
M.D., is a graduate of the University of
Minnesota School of Medicine in Minneapolis.
He did his residency in Internal Medicine at
the Roger Williams General Hospital in
Providence, R.I., a Brown University
affiliated hospital, then did his Medical
Oncology fellowship at Yale University in
New Haven. Following a research fellowship
at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center,
he joined the faculty at the University of
Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. He is
board certified in Internal Medicine and
Medical Oncology.
In 2003, he joined the staff at
Hematology-Oncology Associates practicing
general oncology and hematology. In 2007 he
completed an intensive course in cancer risk
assessment at the City of Hope in Duarte,
CA, and along with Dr. Duncan is now
providing genetic risk assessment for
patients with familial cancers. He is a
member of the
American Society of Clinical Oncology
and the
American Society of Hematology,
and a past member of the
American Association for Cancer Research
and the
American Association for the Advancement of
Science.
