Lovie Bey, M.D. is originally from Kansas City, Missouri. She graduated from the
University of Kansas School of Medicine in 1994. She completed her internship and residency at Tulane University
Hospital & Clinic in 1997.
She then worked for a year at the VA Hospital in New Orleans and then proceeded to complete her fellowship in
Hematology and Medical Oncology in 2001. She worked at Charity Hospital in New Orleans until 2003 at which time
she went into private practice in Tennessee. As of January 2006, she has joined Hematology-Oncology Associates,
P.C.
Dr. Bey has a particular interest in breast cancer and, in fact, conducted research on human breast cancer cells
as a senior fellow.
Dr. Bey is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology.
She is a member of the American
Society of Clinical Oncology, the
Greater Albuquerque Medical Association
and the
New Mexico Cancer
Care Alliance.
